Based on a 1990 novel of the same name by H. G. Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia is finally here, and with it came some big changes for Georgia and her family. After she was arrested in the Season 2 finale and charged with the murder of Cynthia’s husband, Tom, the joys of her marriage to Paul faded away, and everyone was left to deal with the fallout of her trial. Among those left reeling was Zion, Georgia's ex-boyfriend and the father of Ginny, played by Nathan Mitchell. The two have maintained a fairly close relationship as co-parents throughout the series, even reconciling on occasion, but Georgia's trial required him to step up in a greater way than ever to support Ginny and Austin at a time when it seemed their mother might go to prison. The finale of Ginny and Georgia season 3 ended with not one, but (almost) two twists. Not only did the lengthy murder trial take over the third season of Ginny and Georgia, but the latest act also incorporated the theme of pregnancy subtly into the narrative.

Premiering on June 5, Ginny and Georgia picked up the pace pretty quickly and took it up from where it ended at the finale of season 2. The last season ended with Georgia’s arrest for Tom Fuller’s murder, and the season wasted no time in proceeding to the drama in the courtroom.

However, the murder procedure was not the only stirring point of the season, as the show experimented with the theme of pregnancy as well. While hints of positive pregnancy reports are shown early in the show, the question remains whether Georgia is really pregnant again.
