U.S. Senator from Oklahoma (November 17, 1994 - January 3, 2023).
Former ranking member of both the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee. Also was a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
His daughter, Molly, and her husband, Jimmy Rapert, adopted a girl from Africa. They named her Marie Rapert.
