In the tradition of Billy Madison, a new film set in the chaotic, comical world of gaming and influencers, We Need to Talk starring James Maslow (Big Time Rush) and Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow) is coming to digital this May from Global Digital Releasing.

Scott is a self-absorbed online video-game influencer, who speaks to millions of fans every day, but simply cannot (or will not) communicate with the people he loves. He remains blissfully unaware that he’s the problem until one morning, as she’s walking out the door, his girlfriend Aly tells him, “we need to talk.” Her comment sends Scott spiraling into a day-long tailspin as he seeks wisdom, advice, and emotional support from his social media network of friends, internet trolls, and a myriad of online characters from around the world.

Actors James Maslow and Emily Bett Rickards will be starring in the indie film "We Need To Talk". The film, written and directed by Todd Wolfe, also features Jonathan Fernandez.

Production is slated to begin at the end on the month, reports deadline.com.

The plot follows a self-centered, video-gaming celebrity Great Scott Gamer who speaks with millions of fans every day but doesn't know how to talk to the people he loves. It isn't a problem until his girlfriend says, "We need to talk", before disappearing to work.

Maslow, best known for his role on Nickelodeon's "Big Time Rush" based on his real-life boy band, will co-host new talent show "The Big Stage with Elizabeth Stanton".

James Maslow is set to topline the indie comedy/drama, We Need To Talk, alongside former Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards as well as Jonathan Fernandez from TV’s Lethal Weapon. The pic is written and directed by Todd Wolfe with production slated to begin at the end on the month.

If there's anything I learned from the never-ending Amityville Horror franchise, it's that you probably shouldn't bring objects from haunted houses into your own home, because they have the potential to be as haunted as the houses themselves. But if you're looking to spice up your home with a little paranormal activity, then Todd Wolfe has got you covered.

As we spotted over on Roadtrippers, Todd is the current owner of the haunted Wolfe Manor, which is located in Clovis, California. The mansion was built in 1922 and turned into a sanitarium in 1935, where it was used for the treatment of terminally ill patients. A wing was eventually added for the purpose of treating mental disorders, and the history of the sanitarium is an insanely creepy one, filled out with tales of murder, suicide and mistreatment of patients.
