One of the most beloved creators in all of anime is returning to Adult Swim. “Lazarus,” the newest show from “Cowboy Bebop” director Shinichirō Watanabe, will premiere on Adult Swim on April 5 at midnight during the network’s Toonami programming block.

Described as a sci-fi thriller set in the year 2052, “Lazarus” revolves around a miracle drug called Hapna that claims to free anyone who takes it from all pain. But the supposed panacea comes with a horrific side effect: everyone who takes it will die. The series follows a group of agents who only have 30 days to find the vaccine and save all of humanity.

As we head into the Spring 2024 anime season, streaming service Hidive today announced that an English dub of Fall 2023's The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess anime series will release weekly on the platform from April 15. The first two episodes will premiere at Anime Boston on March 29. According to Anime News Network, both audio versions will become available on Hidive on Oct. 4. The announcement also confirms many returning English voice actors, with Adam Gibbs (My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu) reprising his role as protagonist Cid Kageno being the most notable. Other members of the dub's cast include Christina Kelly (Food Wars!
