The highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s “It Ends With Us” is now streaming on Netflix after first hitting theaters this summer, and it’s got a star-studded cast.
After initial announcements of Blake Lively playing the 23-year-old Lily Bloom, fans of the book weren’t convinced that Justin Baldoni’s adaptation would live up to the hype. Baldoni, who plays Lily’s love interest, Ryle, also directed and produced the film with his production company Wayfarer.
Both Hoover and Baldoni publicly stated that it was a joint decision to age up the characters, and one they hoped would make the story of domestic violence more universally accessible to a greater range of women.
“When we chose to partner with Sony and turn this into a major motion picture, obviously you need a movie star, [Lively] was one of the first names that was brought up, and all of...

“We’ve got twins!”
Those words, delivered with a mixture of terror and excitement, tell viewers all they need to know about the chaos and carnage that a group of storm chasers is about to encounter in “Twisters,” a follow-up to the 1996 box office hit “Twister.” The disaster film aired its first trailer during the Super Bowl. Starring Glen Powell, who plays a self-described “tornado wrangler,” and Daisy Edgar-Jones as a scientist, the film is set for a July 19 release.
Billed as a “new chapter” of the original, the film is directed by Oscar nominee Lee Isaac Chung, known for his film “Minari,” which shared an agricultural setting and little else with “Twisters.” Along with Powell and Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Daryl McCormack and Maura Tierney round out the cast.
Powell is channeling a charismatic daredevil in the first look, declaring, “You don’t face your fears. You ride ’em.

Feast, the new Filipino entry on Netflix, seems like a film that is heavily inspired by the works of the legendary Hirokazu Koreeda. It lacks the subtlety and finesse that are usually seen in Koreeda’s film, which makes it just about a decent watch and nothing more. But the film hinges on a (literally) killer twist in the end, if you know what I mean. And despite providing us with enough breadcrumbs throughout the story, Feast pulls it off pretty well. We’re going to look into the twist and what it really means for the characters.

Yami Yugi may seem like a kind spirit most of the time, but Yu-Gi-Oh!'s darkest scene shows how brutal the spirit can be. This shouldn't be too surprising, given in the manga the character was originally a murderous psychopath, but in the well-known anime adaptation, that part of his personality was omitted, making this scene quite shocking.
Another reason why this scene is especially shocking is that it takes place in a filler arc. Yu-Gi-Oh!'s fourth season Waking the Dragons is an anime-exclusive arc that sees Yugi and his friends fight the ancient Cult of Orichalcos. This is a group of duelists who deal people's souls away after they lose a duel. The arc actually greatly develops Yami Yugi's character after he loses a duel against the cult member Rafael and the regular Yugi sacrifices himself to save the Pharaoh. This causes Yami Yugi to go through...

Never Have I Ever's highly-anticipated final season proves to be a powerful and satisfying conclusion. As a result, the beloved Netflix series adds to the list of well-loved finales and joins the likes of Friends and The Office. Not every series pulls off a well-executed finish, which is why a perfectly-landed finale usually becomes an instant TV classic.
However, a handful of series deliver the best possible finales but are yet to receive their due credit. These sagas go out on an epic note, but their conclusions remain underrated, especially in comparison with the more popular and overhyped last episodes. These TV shows not only stuck the landing but also leaped far over fan expectations in the process.

Yu-Gi-Oh!'s best filler arc, Waking the Dragons, actually had a major impact on its main character, the Pharaoh. This character growth makes this filler arc one of the best storylines of the show. While many of the other arcs in Yu-Gi-Oh! feature epic duels, few actually delve into who the Pharaoh is without his vessel Yugi.
The protagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! is ostensibly Yugi, but whenever the young boy gets into a serious situation, his alter ego of the Pharaoh is released from the mystical Millennium Puzzle he wears around his neck. This can make it a bit hard to distinguish where Yugi's character ends and the Pharaoh begins. Part of this is clearly intentional, as the Pharaoh and Yugi greatly influence each other over the course of the series. But this can also make it difficult for the show to give the Pharaoh or Yugi much specific character development...
