She is the Artistic Director of The Theatrical Fantastical Troupe in San Diego. In partnership with the Actors Alliance of San Diego, this troupe of three adult actors tours elementary schools with the educational plays, "Theatrical Fantastical! The Fun, Imagination, and History of Theatre" and "Eureka! Fun Facts, Terrific Tall Tales, and Song Sensations from the Great State of California." Myra writes the plays and directs for this touring company which she formed in 2000.

She is the daughter-in-law of the late, great magician, Don Alan. Don Alan is affectionately called, "The Father of Close-Up Magic," and was heralded as one of the "100 Most Influential Magicians of the 20th Century." Myra and her husband, Kevin, are the proud guardians of Don's "bag of tricks," including his signature illusions like "The Nut" and "The Chop Cup."

Spent nearly 5 years as a travel agent with Neiman Marcus Travel, and another 4 years teaching Romance Writing at College of DuPage and Waubonsee Community College.

Acted on stage in high school with Tom Amandes and a talented thespian company of Crystal Lake "Theatre Jocks!" Myra's theatre clique included singer Jamie O'Reilly, Professor/Writer/Composer: Paul Amandes, Actor/Director: Ray Frewen, Actor Jack Sherman, Bassist John Floeter, Pianist/Singer Andrea Kuenster, Singers Beth Ann O'Reilly and Kate O'Reilly, and a whole slew of others who still lend their talents in the arts as costumers, artists, set builders, radio personalities, writers, decorators and the like.

Graduate of Crystal Lake High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois and of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Myra double-majored in Journalism/Public Relations and Theatre Arts. Theatre Cherub at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
