Ten days before the end of 2024, a YouTuber’s exposé uncovered a shocking scandal in the influencer marketing world. Honey, a PayPal-owned browser extension that has spent millions on creator partnerships, seems to have used those deals to rip off partners, deceive consumers, and engage in fraudulent business practices.
“I can’t even begin to fathom how much money has been lost at the hands of this browser extension.”
That quote comes from a video by Kiwi creator MegaLag, who published a 23-minute takedown of Honey’s shady influencer deals. Some of the biggest creators in the world, ranging from MrBeast to Emma Chamberlain to Marques Brownlee, have shilled for the browser extension. As it turns out, those sponsorships may have done more harm than good for creators.

The GilletteLabs commercial features an actor duo who some may know from their performances outside the scope of television and movies. Gillette is an American brand of safety razors that is well known for its many-bladed razors and shaving cream products as well as their commercials which often feature a zoomed-in CGI shot of one of their distinctive blades, slowly, and satisfyingly, chopping off hair particles. It combines the satisfaction of power washing videos with hair care. GillettleLabs is a 2019 innovation of the brand...

On the first Monday of May, fashion lovers tune into the Met Gala red carpet to see what each of their favorite celebrities are wearing. The Met Gala is a huge topic of conversation each year, while audiences analyze each fashion choice, each guest, and whether or not these celebrities fit the theme of the gala. This year, the Met Gala featured two themes of sorts. The Met Gala’s 2024 theme was ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’, inspired by the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's latest exhibition. However, the dress code was ‘The Garden of Time’, nodding its head to the visuals of the briar woods of ‘Sleeping Beauty’. With this dress code, we were bound to see plenty of florals and nature-inspired looks this evening. In case you missed it, here are some of the most memorable looks from Monday evening.

Charli Xcx enlists an all-cool cast — including Rachel Sennott, Chloë Sevigny, Emma Chamberlain, and Julia Fox — for her new video for “360,” the latest track off the singer’s upcoming LP Brat.
In the visual directed by Aidan Zamiri (who also photographed Rolling Stone‘s cover story on Billie Eilish), Xcx is summoned to a meeting at a restaurant to introduce the new track, but only after the diners — Sennott and Fox among them —”fulfill the prophecy of finding a new hot internet girl.” After electing their waitress for the role,...

Cardi B addressed the backlash she has been receiving on social media since the Met Gala on Monday.
During an interview with Emma Chamberlain for Vogue at fashion’s biggest night, the rapper was asked who designed her massive black gown, which took up the entire landing of the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sensen Lii for Windowsen spent two months working on the gown, so when she couldn’t remember his name, people felt she was disrespecting the designer.
“I feel amazing,” Cardi said on the Met Gala carpet, before pausing for a moment and adding, “It’s this amazing designer. They’re Asian and everything.”
In response to the backlash, the “Up” artist posted a video on Instagram, per Entertainment Tonight, that has now expired and is circulating on Twitter (formerly X).
“I want to make this very clear, right, first thing’s first,” she began the two-minute-plus video.

In 2006, UTA presciently launched a group dedicated to the field of then-emerging digital creators, at a time when other major agencies’ online efforts were primarily focused on finding supplemental opportunities for existing film and TV clients. Now, as its portfolio of creator clients has ballooned to include heavyweights like Emma Chamberlain, the D’Amelio family and Call Her Daddy‘s Alex Cooper, the 33-year-old company is debuting an umbrella division that is “tailor-made for their needs and success across the creator economy,” in the words of agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer.
Called UTA Creators, the just-launched division brings together four previously separate agency groups — digital talent, gaming and esports, audio, and the influencer management company Dba — under one shingle, with the goal of super-serving a pool of talent that is increasingly firing on all cylinders and working on multiple platforms. (Dba continues to operate as a separate management company that has...

The theme of the 2024 Met Gala was “The Garden of Time” — based on a story by J.G. Ballard – but, really, the theme of all Met Galas always has been: Go big or stay home!
While there have been myriad gorgeous gowns, jewels and natty tuxes over many Met Gala years, what do the most dress-obsessed actually remember? Cher half-naked. Lady Gaga’s change of dress performance art. Billy Porter’s royal entrance in Egyptian armor and entourage. Katy Perry as a chandelier. They all proved: It doesn’t pay to stay staid — even if staid means gorgeous.
So the question comes down to: Does one do good outrageous? Or outrageously bad? Both the bad and the beautiful always get the most ink — sometimes, you can’t tell the difference. With such risky looks, it’s a toss of the coin. If you’re Cher, you can pull off anything. Everyone...
