Will John Krasinski Appear in The Paper: 5 Stars from The Office Who Must Return for Cameos
Image
The question burning in every Office fan’s mind just got a lot more interesting. Will John Krasinski reprise his role as Jim Halpert in The Paper, Greg Daniels’ upcoming Peacock spinoff? Recent developments suggest the answer might be a resounding yes.

The trailer has already confirmed the return of Oscar Martinez (played by Oscar Nuñez), sparking a wave of speculation among fans, if Oscar is back, who else might make an appearance? That question gained further momentum when John Krasinski revealed something interesting! In a chat with Extra in May, he said,

Done! If they ask me, I’m in.

This small statement matters more to fans than one might think. As they’ll finally get some closure, those tiny updates that reassure viewers their favorite characters are still out there, doing exactly what we always imagined. Part of the magic of The Office was how real these people felt.

Is Domhnall Gleeson a Nepo Baby? What Has The Paper Star Said About His Father and Acting Privilege
Image
Domhnall Gleeson has been in quite a few projects, but you probably know him best for his work in the ‘Harry Potter‘ movies as the eldest Weasley brother, Bill Weasley. If you are wondering whether the 42-year-old Irish actor/screenwriter is a nepo baby or not, then the answer is yes. Yes, he is.

Born on May 12, 1983, Gleeson is the son of renowned actor and one of Ireland’s greatest, Brendan Gleeson. The 70-year-old is best known for his roles in films like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, ‘Troy’, and more.

Just like his son, he, too, had a role in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, where he brought Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody to life from paper. Moreover, the veteran actor has received tons of recognition through award shows. He was nominated for an Academy Award, three BAFTAs, multiple Golden Globes, two SAG awards, and more. He won...

Domhnall Gleeson’s Embarrassing Harry Potter Story Makes His ‘The Paper’ Casting Even Better
Image
Seeing 300 people on the set of Harry Potter, getting nervous about meeting his favorite celebrities, Domhnall Gleeson accidentally slipped into an Australian accent instead of the proper British one. That’s the story of the actor who played one of the beloved Weasley characters in the $9.5B franchise.

Domhnall Gleeson’s experience on the magical set wasn’t without its fair share of embarrassments. Cast as Bill Weasley, the Irish actor told the Irish Independent, how he walked onto the set of Deathly Hallows: Part 1, only to let his nerves get the better of him.

I was a Harry Potter fan, but on my first day on set on Deathly Hallows, I had a horrible day, just a terrible day. There were 300 people on the set. It was absolutely nuts; I went Australian on the accent instead of English. I kind of panicked.

I met these amazing people whose work...

The Paper Trailer: Domhnall Gleeson Inspires to Live Up to Steve Carell’s Charisma in Spinoff
Image
Peacock has released the first trailer for The Paper, the forthcoming spin-off to the beloved mockumentary The Office. Domhnall Gleeson, who’s playing Ned Sampson, the newly appointed editor-in-chief for the struggling Midwestern newspaper, has showcased promise in his brief scenes in the trailer.

Although Steve Carell‘s iconic portrayal of Michael Scott remains a high bar to clear, it appears the creatives behind the show are taking an almost opposite approach to that of Scott, who was a lovable yet incompetent lead.

Domhnall Gleeson Leads a Struggling Newsroom in The Paper Trailer

With the same crew that helmed The Office returning for the spin-off, the sitcom is set in the same universe as that of Dunder Mifflin. Domhnall Gleeson, in contrast to Carell’s Scott, stars as the idealistic journalist Ned Sampson, who is trying to make the best out of his team of misfits and the struggling newsroom,...

The Paper: Domhnall Gleeson manages a bullpen of misfits at a struggling newspaper in the trailer for The Office spinoff
Domhnall Gleeson
Coming into a company as the new editor-in-chief is challenging, but Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) is willing to give it the old college try. He doesn’t have the money to pay reporters, so he’s gathered a rag-tag group of volunteers to be the Truth-Teller’s editorial staff. Capturing all the inter-office shenanigans is the crew that filmed Dunder Mifflin’s corporate drama, and they’re just as sneaky in Toledo, Ohio, as they were in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Today’s trailer for The Paper takes us into the heart of Peacock‘s The Office spinoff, with more mockumentary mayhem than an inexperienced group of dimwits obsessed with parkour.

Truth-Teller is a bizarre operation. Although the newspaper has been around for over 100 years, its owner has let it fall to pieces. Oh, did I menation that they also sell toilet paper and seat covers, because what well-oiled machine doesn’t?...

The Office’s Oscar can’t believe he’s found himself back in front of the same documentary team that followed him around for years at Dunder Mifflin, in the official trailer for the sitcom’s spinoff, The Paper.

The First Trailer For The Office Spin-Off The Paper Isn't A Home Run - Here's Why That's Ok
Image
When it was announced that "The Office" would get its first major spin-off, a lot of fans of Greg Daniels' beloved sitcom probably rolled their eyes. Even though "The Office" was itself a remake of the British series of the same name co-created by and starring Ricky Gervais, it's still a little jarring that, you know, we're doing this again. By "this," I mean a mockumentary TV series about a place that sells paper in some shape or form set in the office itself. We're getting "The Paper," though, and the first trailer is ... not particularly encouraging.

Here's how the two-minute preview goes, roughly. We learn that a company called Ennervate is responsible for paper products that mostly center around toilets, but it also owns the Toledo Truth Teller, a small Midwestern newspaper that's clearly in a bad place. When Domhnall Gleeson's Ned Sampson arrives as the paper's new editor-in-chief,...

Peacock’s ‘Office’ Spinoff ‘The Paper’ Points Its Mockumentary Cameras at a New Subject in Trailer
Image
The documentary crew that filmed The Office seemingly can’t get enough of paper.

Peacock on Thursday released a trailer for The Paper, a mockumentary set in the same world as The Office (and featuring Oscar Nuñez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez) that finds the crew that filmed Dunder Mifflin taking its cameras to Toledo, Ohio, and following the staff of the Truth-Teller, a newspaper that has been around for more than 100 years but is now apparently an afterthought for its owner, which also sells toilet paper and toilet seat covers.

Into that situation walks Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson), who’s determined to restore the paper to its former glory. He doesn’t have money to pay reporters, however, so he recruits volunteers from the paper’s existing non-editorial staff while the documentary crew follows his efforts — much to Oscar’s dismay. Watch the trailer below.

Leading the charge is Star Wars star Domhnall Gleeson, who brings a very different energy to the boss's chair than Michael Scott or David Brent ever did. He might actually be competent.

Image
ScreenRant's Zachary Brandon attended The Simpsons panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where the long-running animated series teased a star-filled episode in its upcoming season 37 while also taking a dig at Marvel. The panelists all entered Ballroom 20 dressed as Doctor Doom, in cheeky reference to last year's Marvel panel, which revealed Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU as the villain.

During the panel, The Simpsons writer Matt Selman teased one episode will have cameos from Glenn Howerton, Danny Pudi, Adam Pally, Albert Brooks, Cole Escola, Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson at the same time. Another episode will feature Kieran Culkin in a "juicy role."

The Black Mirror Episode You Forgot Reacher's Alan Ritchson Was In
Image
Before Alan Ritchson was a famous action leading man, he was taking up smaller roles wherever he could find them. One of those small, oft-forgotten roles was in season 3 of "Black Mirror." In the premiere, "Nosedive," he played Paul, the picture-perfect fiancé of the main character's frenemy Naomi (Alice Eve). What do we know of Paul? Well, not much — he's a very minor character — but Ritchson helped make the character shine anyway.

The biggest thing to note about Paul is that a lot of viewers suspect him of being closeted. There's not a whole of evidence in the text to support of this, but fans have zeroed in on a moment where he's hugging his best man a little too much, and his fiancée Naomi looks on with a troubled face. I don't know if these fans are correct in their theory, but they're definitely picking up on one clear...

From the genius of the greatest crime series of all time, The Sopranos, to the epic, swirling tale of Game of Thrones, HBO's catalog of shows boasts some of the best work in television history. However, due to such high standards having been set on the network for over 25 years, many great shows can often fall under the radar. That was the fate met by Run, the 2020 comedy thriller created by Vicky Jones that sadly lasted for just one season, despite an 81% Rotten Tomatoes rating.

Well, if you were one of the many who Run simply passed by, perhaps due to a particularly life-altering global event that was happening at the same time it debuted, fear not, as Prime Video now has you covered. John Krasinski & Natalie Portman's Indiana Jones Replacement Has Dominated Streaming For 2 Months
Image
John Krasinski and Natalie Portman starred in an Indiana Jones replacement in 2025, and the family adventure movie has dominated streaming for two months now. John Krasinski and Natalie Portman are two of the most marketable stars working today, so while many may have missed this streaming hit, it isn't surprising how much of a success the film has been.

Apple TV+ has become a home for all kinds of critically acclaimed original movies and TV shows, with the brand becoming synonymous with quality. While it isn't the most popular of streaming services, it has been behind several theatrically released hits like F1 and Killers of the Flower Moon. However, its streaming successes are just as impressive.

Fountain Of Youth Has Dominated Apple TV+ For Two Months It Is Still #1 On The Platform

Wicked Star's The Office Replacement Show Gets a Major Update From NBC
Image
NBC's 2025-26 television season slate continues to grow. The network has handed a series order to new comedy Stumble from siblings Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof.

Per Deadline, Stumble marks the first team-up project for the Astrofs, who are veteran showrunners in the comedy genre, having previously worked on such hits as The New Adventures of Old Christine, 2 Broke Girls, The King of Queens, The Conners, and Last Man Standing. The upcoming comedy series centers on Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon), who is determined to rally her newly recruited junior college cheer squad to win her record-breaking 15th championship and improve their lives along the way.

In addition to Lyon, the main cast for Stumble includes former Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam, as well as Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy. After guest-starring in the pilot, Kristin Chenoweth, who...

Anya Taylor-Joy’s Sci-Fi Sleeper Hit Knocks Sydney Sweeney’s Thriller Down Streaming Charts
Image
After several weeks of dominating the Apple TV+ streaming charts, director Scott Derrickson’s The Gorge was replaced at the number one position by Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth. Subsequently, the rather low-key thriller Echo Valley claimed the top spot for a few weeks following its debut. But Fountain of Youth soon reclaimed the top spot. The $180 million action-adventure film is still the number one title on Apple, while Echo Valley has slipped further down the rankings. It’s now the number three film on the infamously exclusive streamer, behind The Gorge.

Starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller, the movie opened to mixed reviews. It currently holds a 62% score on Rotten Tomatoes, although audiences were seemingly more receptive to its genre-bending thrills. They awarded it a 75% score on the aggregator website, where the critics’ consensus reads, “Mixing multiple genres, The Gorge makes for a surprisingly endearing romance until its...

Guy Ritchie's Indiana Jones Replacement Is Finally Running Out of Fuel on the Streaming Charts
Image
Fountain of Youth was incredibly hyped when it came out in May 2025. Guy Ritchie made an old-fashioned adventure flick starring John Krasinski as a charming treasure hunter and Natalie Portman as his more cautious sister. The Apple TV+ movie took viewers into sinking ships, grand libraries and underground death traps -- and garnered a lot of comparisons to Indiana Jones.

All the critical reviews pointed towards the film going into the dustbin of cinematic achievement... and then something funny happened. Initially, Fountain of Youth performed well not only in America, but around the world. However, per FlixPatrol, the movie's magical streaming run is coming to an end.

According to FlixPatrol, July 17 is the first time Fountain of Youth has fallen down the charts since its May 23 release. It's still the No. 1 movie on Apple TV+ but on the overall streaming chart from Amazon Channels, it's down to No. 8.

Excited For ‘The Paper’? Prepare For the Spin-Off With This New ‘The Office’ Figure From McFarlane Toys
Image
Comedy fans will soon be returning to The Office universe with The Paper this fall. The Peacock spin-off will mostly have a new cast of colorful characters. However, that doesn't mean we can't be nostalgic for the paper sales people of Dunder Mifflin. The popular mockumentary comedy series is celebrating its 20th anniversary after all. Now, McFarlane Toys has returned ahead of The Paper with their next Office figure.

A part of McFarlane's TV Maniacs line, this posed six-inch figure is of Dwight Schrute. The character, who was played by Rainn Wilson for all nine seasons of the show, is seen in his classic brown and yellow suit. Like with their Kevin Malone figure, this will come with a display backdrop, a character art card and a mystery item. The figure will go up for pre-order tomorrow.

Peacock's The Office Spinoff Reveals Premiere Date (& Unusual Episode Rollout Plans)
Image
The Paper finally has a premiere date. The long-awaited spinoff of The Office will begin streaming on Peacock this September.

Peacock has revealed that the first four episodes of The Paper will premiere on Sept. 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through Sept. 25.This means the entire 10-episode season will be rolled out in less than a month. While the binge method (a.k.a. releasing the entire season at the same time) was once a popular release method for streaming originals, in recent years, streamers like HBO Max, Prime Video, and Disney+ have gone back to the tried and true one-episode per week release pattern, with some notable exceptions like multi-episode premieres or finales. With The Office a consistent streaming hit, the decision to burn through an entire season of its highly anticipated spinoff in just one month is somewhat unusual, although Peacock likely has a reason for doing so.
