- As a part of their tour for promoting the last album "Echoes, Silence, Patience, Grace" Foo Fighters played two sold-out shows in the new Wembley Stadium in London. (06-06-08 and 07-06-08). The second show saw a big surprise as Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin joined the band. They performed Zeppelins classics "Rock'n'Roll" and "Ramble On" together.
- Members are Dave Grohl (lead vocals and guitar), Nate Mendel (bass guitar), Chris Shiflett (lead guitar, background vocals), Pat Smear (rhythm guitar) and Taylor Hawkins (drums, percussion, vocals). Former members are William Goldsmith (drums, percussion), and Franz Stahl (guitar).

- They performed at John Kerry campaign events in advance of the 2004 U.S. presidential election.
