Because she is a descendant of the clan Sutherland she is a distant cousin of Donald Sutherland and his children Kiefer, and Russif Sutherland who are also descendants of the Clan Sutherland.
She started her acting career in 2001.
She started her modeling career in 1997 when she won the annual Bonne Belle model search for the Australian teen magazine Girlfriend. After her win, she signed a contract with Vogue Australia.
