Biografia

Karel Hermánek was the director of the Theater Without Rails and the Municipal Theater in Karlovy Vary. For this, he regularly collaborated with film and television.

He met the presenter and TV announcer Hana Vávrová in the dubbing studio. After the birth of sons Karel (* 1989) and Josef (* 1990), the actor and the presenter decided to get married.

When the theater Na Zábradli, where he played, collapsed in 1990, Karel Hermánek founded one of the first private theaters in the country, which he humorously named Divadlo Bez zábradlí ( Theater Without Rails). Part of the original ensemble then moved to the National Theatre.

Stage director Evald Schorm nvited him to the Theater Na zábradlí. Karel Hermánek played there until 1991 and created his most important theater characters there.

In 2004, Hermánek acquired the Municipal Theater in Karlovy Vary for rent.
