Lee Garlington(I)

Originally, she was part of the Seinfeld (1989) cast. She was going to play a waitress who would give Jerry and George friendly advice. When they examined the pilot, they dropped her character and hired Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Jerry's ex-girlfriend, Elaine.

[on Seinfeld (1989)] When we shot the pilot, I was the girl in 'Seinfeld.' They didn't pick up my contract... It didn't bother me the first five years. But the second five years drove me nuts. I don't know why. I still see Jason [Alexander] regularly. He's best friends with a friend of mine and I've never talked about it with him, but I'm sure for him he's like, 'Oh, poor Lee! Poor Lee!' Oh, it's funny.
