- He was in the "Ash Alley Singers", a folk music group in Tucson, AZ, in 1962-1963. Another member of the group, Bob Kimmel, went on to form The Stone Poneys (without Alan, who was a theater major at the University of Arizona and not out of school yet), Linda Ronstadt's first group. They had one hit, "Different Drum", and put out two albums. The song "Different Drum" was written by Michael Nesmith of The Monkees.
- Upon Alan Fudge's death, his body was cremated, and his ashes given to his surviving relatives.
