Eric is a descendant of the Yngling Viking Dynasty as well as the Viking kings of Normandy.

Eric underwent a massive weight loss and life change in 2013 and lost over 50 pounds completely restructuring his life. He has often spoken publicly about it to inspire others with his story.

Eric Erickson gained his nickname "The Angry Viking" while doing stand-up comedy in Los Angeles. One night after Eric's set, the MC commented "That was one &$%(#! Angry Viking!" and the name stuck.
