After a very promising start on stage, movies and television, he started choosing projects that would earn him the highest paycheck, rather than prestige. He later started hosting Jerry Springer-style shows, and as a result, became synonymous with low quality, cheap productions aiming for the simplest laughs. At one point he was involved in four separate movies that were in the imdb bottom 100 as actor, or writer, or director, or all.

He's known for making numerous modernized remakes of beloved Turkish classic movies, all of which turn out to be flops.

Has done many voice-overs for cartoon and animation characters, including the donkey in the Turkish version of Shrek.
