He has played two MCU characters. He plays a soldier and close friend of Steve Rogers, Jim Morita, in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011); and also plays Morita's grandson, who is the principal of Peter Parker's high school in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).

Gained almost 25 pounds for his role in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Attended Purdue University as an accounting major and left to pursue an acting career.

Had no contact with his family for five years in order to pursue a career in acting.

He is of Korean descent.
