Her parents gave her the nickname Busy, because as an infant she was always moving, the name stuck, and it even appears on her credit cards.

At 17, she worked the toy fair circuit as a real-life Barbie before making her show-business debut.

One of Busy's hobbies is designing, creating, and baking very intricate, theme based, custom designed cakes, such as a multiple level cake based on the movie Rapunzel: L'intreccio della torre (2010) (based on the fairy tale "Rapunzel"), which she made for her 3 1/2 year old daughter, Birdie. Busy brought pictures of the "Tangled cake" for her March 14, 2012 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003).
