Mustafar is famously one of the deadliest planets in the Star Warsuniverse, even when Darth Vader wasn't calling it his home. However, that doesn't mean it's the only deadly planet in the galaxy far, far away, as Star Wars fans are about to be introduced to, "the most dangerous planet you've never heard of."
In Star Wars: Jedi Knights #6 by Marc Guggenheim and Madibek Musabekov, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, and Aayla Secura are investigating the death of a Jedi Master on a far-off planet. After inspecting the corpse, the Jedi come to realize that the Jedi didn't die of natural causes, but was actually murdered, presumably by an assassin one of them had met before.
The assassin in question is named Corlis Rath. After allegedly killing the Jedi Master, Rath incapacitated Windu and Secura before battling Qui-Gon Jinn. Jinn had encountered this assassin on an earlier mission, but this time,...

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Star Wars: Jedi Knights #6!The battle between Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul is arguably the most epic lightsaber duel in Star Warshistory, and perhaps the most tragic as well. However, that wasn't the only significant loss Qui-Gon suffered during a battle, as Star Wars just revealed Qui-Gon's biggest defeat since losing to Darth Maul.
In Star Wars: Jedi Knights #6 by Marc Guggenheim and Madibek Musabekov, Qui-Gon Jinn is investigating the suspicious death of Jedi Master Fondar Etzis on an agricultural planet, and he's not alone. The Jedi is being stalked by an assassin who tried to kill Qui-Gon once before: Corlis Rath.

Warning: Spoilers for Spider-Man and Wolverine #4!Spider-Man's sister, Teresa Parker, returns with enough power to tame Wolverine. Still a relatively new character after having debuted in 2014, readers still know little about Spider-Man's oft-forgotten sister, but her reintroduction manages to add to her lore and abilities list.
As the two title characters fight for their lives in Spider-Man and Wolverine #4, they are met by special agent Teresa Parker.
She doesn't enter empty-handed either, as Teresa Parker hits the scene with claws as lethal as Wolverine's own, and a gun filled with bullets from the Muramasa Blade, the one thing capable of killing Wolverine.

Throughout this series, Spider-Man and Wolverine have been hunted by a mysterious man named Dreadshadow, who teleports them from one obstacle to the next and one location to the next.

July has come to an end, which means it's time to look ahead to the new month's Star Wars books and comics.
August has a little bit of everything for everyone. Although there are no new ongoing series starting, there are still some highlights.
I'm hyped for the new novel from The Bad Batch called Sanctuary, which takes place during season 2 as Clone Force 99 tries to save their island home of Pabu. Polygon shared an excerpt with one of my favorite ships, Tech and Phee Genoa, that basically made me lose my mind a bit. We're also starting to get early Spooky Season content with I Find Your Lack of Candy Disturbing out right at the start of the month, being one of the first Halloween-themed books to be released.
With comics, trades, novels, and magazines, August will not disappoint.

It's time for fans of DC's Legends of Tomorrow to celebrate, as the iconic television team has made a shocking jump into comic canon. The bad news: they're being hunted by an army aiming to kill all time travelers.
The shocking revelation arrives with little warning in Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special #1, as a masked superhero seeks help from DC's greatest heroes. But it's the character's vehicle which begins to establish the TV/comic crossover, instantly recognizable as the Waverider piloted by the Arrowverse's time traveling squad.
The ship is only the first of several clues dropped for Legends of Tomorrow viewers, with the most important one being the true identity of the hero hiding beneath the mask (for now).

As many suspected, it sounds as if the Dcu's premiere Green Lantern will be Aaron Pierre's John Stewart, at least by the end of the upcoming HBO superhero drama, Lanterns.

John Diggle actor David Ramsey reflects on how the Arrowverse had to fight hard for their Green Lantern storyline before having to scrap the DC plot altogether. While the Arrowverse franchise accomplished many arcs during its run, the payoff to their Green Lantern tease was one of the biggest complications.
After many years of foreshadowing Diggle's transformation to become a Green Lantern, The Flash season 8 brought it to an abrupt end, with Ramsey's character rejecting the mystery box's invitation. This obviously frustrated many viewers to see the Green Lantern storyline in the Arrowverse never getting a chance to shine.

Wolverine and Spider-Man are considered two of the greatest comic book superheroes of all time. Both have a never-quit attitude, tragic pasts that drive them to be better, and a rogues gallery full of obsessive villains. They also both claim to be loners, but are on various teams (both members of the Avengers and Fantastic Four). Once upon a time, they even hated each other; Logan despised Peter’s “holier than thou” attitude, and Peter was disgusted by Logan’s willingness to kill.
Nevertheless, after years of being friends, they’ve learned to trust each other. That trust, however, is being tested in Marc Guggenheim’s Spider-Man and Wolverine.

Earlier reports about Lanterns being grounded may have been misconstrued by fans.
Recently, James Gunn tried to clarify those comments, and now, James Hawes, who directed the Lanterns pilot, is doing the same.
Hawes recently spoke to Phase Hero about the release of The Amateur but also touched on his work on the Dcu's upcoming Green Lantern drama.
"The scripts have so much with, so much character, it's a buddy cop movie, played out in a True Detective, Fargo, No Country For Old Men naturalistic [way] and then somebody flies," exclaimed the British television director.
Addressing previous reports and comments about the series being grounded and the assumption that everything is set on Earth, Hawes stated, "I'm going to talk very obliquely about this because there are excitements to come," teased Hawes.
"It won't disappoint the classic fans. I think it will invite in a whole new audience as well, " Hawes said.

Wolverine and Spider-Man have been allies for a long time, but one of the areas where they have sometimes been out of sorts with each other has been within the world of espionage. Back in the 1980s, Peter Parker was on assignment for the Daily Bugle covering a spy that multiple agencies were trying to hunt down, and Peter got caught up in a deadly hunt for the spy, who turned out to be a friend of Wolverine's. Spider-Man fought with Wolverine at the time over Wolverine manipulating Spidey, and in the process, Spider-Man accidentally killed the aforementioned spy. Decades ago, Peter learned that Richard and Mary were CIA agents killed while working undercover against the Nazi supervillain known as the Red Skull - now, it turns out the villain had a little help.
In Spider-Man & Wolverine #1 - from Marc Guggenheim, Kaare Andrews, Brian Reber and Travis Lanham - Spidey and Logan team up to steal back a cache of information on every undercover agent, past and present. Despite the danger, Spider-Man can't resist looking into his parents' past, finding a video which shows Wolverine advancing on his parents shortly before their fatal plane crash.

It was a trying and difficult time for the CW when Stephen Amell started out as Oliver Queen in the 2012 show Arrow. After Amell was through with his role, the Arrowverse was brought into existence.
However, there was a time when the studio was considering creating a spinoff in the Arrowverse, which could have had potentially devastating effects on Stephen Amell’s legacy.
Stephen Amell’s Arrowverse could have been ruined
Portraying the role of Oliver Queen for a total of 8 seasons, Stephen Amell found worldwide fame and critical acclaim for his role in Arrow. The result was the creation of the Arrowverse, which included shows and spin-offs like Supergirl and The Flash.

Well, in 2020, Arrow aired its last season, but the Arrowverse continued well into other spin-offs and shows. Projects like Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow fared quite well on the CW.

For more than a decade, The CW's Arrowverse was a pillar of superhero storytelling. While the DC Extended Universe was struggling on the big screen in the 2010s, shows like "Arrow" and "The Flash" were thriving on television. So much so, in fact, that spin-offs started happening. "Supergirl," for example, was brought over from CBS, while "Superman & Lois" would eventually become a thing as well. But not all of the planned shows made it to air. Losing a dream role can still sting many years later, which appears to be the case for Katie Cassidy. The actress portrayed the fan-favorite role of Laurel Lance/Black Canary on The CW's Arrow for four seasons before she was killed off in 2016. The news of Cassidy being told about her demise wasn't exactly handled the best way, and now the actress is revealing why she believes her time on the series came to an end.
During an appearance on the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Cassidy went into detail about her Arrow character being killed off and how she found out about it. News of a character's death was teased at the start of the season, but Cassidy didn't think it would be her. Katie Cassidy played Arrow's Laurel Lance and while her transformation into Black Canary was a little convoluted, fans embraced the character and weren't happy when she died in season 4.

During an interview with Michael Rosenbaum, Cassidy reflected on being dropped from the series and initially not being concerned about Black Canary being in the grave when the season 4 premiere aired. However, things changed in the build to that year's New York Comic Con.

Cassidy discussed her time on Arrow during a recent interview for the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast, per Deadline. She recalled how she learned of Black Canary's death in 2016 after she served as a big part of Arrow for the first four seasons. Famously, the season started with the reveal that a character's death would happen, though it wasn't until later that it was revealed to be Laurel. Despite that big tease, Cassidy was still quite shocked when she realized she was the one on the chopping block.
