Married to prominent British psychiatrist Felix Warden Brown from 1934 until his death in 1972. They had three children (1 son & 2 daughters).

Appeared in two of the earliest episodes of Doctor Who (1963) and then three years later had a small part in the movie spinoff Daleks il futuro tra un milione di anni (1966). She then returned to the TV series for one story in 1979.
