- She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2013 Queen's New Years Honours List for her services to Drama. She is an actress.

- Finishes the filmings of a BBC2 drama called A Relative Stranger (1996), where she plays the wife of a man who wakes up one morning and can't remember anything in the past 20 years; and a drama, with the comedian Billy Connolly, called Deacon Brodie (1997). (giugno 1996)
- Stars in a play called 'The Trick is to Keep Breathing', in which she is the school teacher Joy Stone, whose girlfriend dies while they're on vacation in Spain. The drama is being showed at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland. A tour through UK and Canada is being planned for this year. (ottobre 1996)
