How to Watch ‘Nope’:  When Is Jordan Peele’s New Movie Streaming?
Jordan Peele
Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated third feature film, “Nope,” has finally arrived.

The film follows Peele’s first two horror films as a writer/director, 2017’s “Get Out” and 2019’s “Us.” Known for his comedy and leading role in “Key and Peele,” Peele has quickly become a draw for fans as a filmmaker and “Nope,” unlike Peele’s first two films, leans heavily into the sci-fi genre with a blockbuster-sized budget. Peele reteamed with Daniel Kaluuya on the film, which finds a brother and sister duo trying to catch UFOs on camera.

With “Nope” being one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, many are no doubt wondering where and how to watch it. All your questions answered below.

Jordan Peele Hints at ‘Nope’ Sequel: ‘We’re Not Over Telling All of These Stories’

Jordan Peele is saying yes to more “Nope.”

The writer-director revealed to The New York Times that he has more stories to tell within the “Nope” universe. The U.F.O. adventure film starred Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as Hollywood horse trainers determined to capture an extraterrestrial presence on film. Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, Keith David, Donna Mills, Andrew Patrick Ralston, and Michael Wincott round out the cast.

Yet eagle-eyed fans of Peele’s third feature, following “Get Out” and “Us,” drew attention to an uncredited character listed as Nobody on IMDb, played by Michael Busch.

“People are doing a lot of interesting detective work, is what’s going on,” Peele explained. “The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that. Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention.”

Peele addressed a follow-up, saying, “I...

Jordan Peele Releases ‘Nope’ Extra Footage Featuring Chaotic Chimp Intro for ‘Gordy’s Home’ Sitcom
Image
[Editor’s note: The following story contains spoilers for “Nope.”]

Writer-director Jordan Peele just peeled back one more layer of his alien blockbuster “Nope.” Over the weekend, the Oscar winner took to Twitter to share the full scrapped intro to the fictional “Gordy’s Home!” sitcom that starred Ricky “Jupe” Park, portrayed by Jacob Kim and later Steven Yuen in the film, alongside a key chimpanzee star.

The clip is styled to look as if it’s straight off a VHS recording, and it uses the opening credits for “Gordy’s Home!” to a pivotal plot point for Peele’s film, showing a fist bump between Jupe and Gordy. In the film, the chimp in question went on a maniacal killing spree during an on-set live taping in the 1990s, an event that stays with Jupe throughout the rest of his life.

“Get ready for lift off,” the opening credits starts, while Gordy’s astronaut family is introduced. The show stars Tom Bogan,...

‘Nope’ Director Jordan Peele Shares a Deeper Look at ‘Gordy’s Home!’ With Chimp Sitcom’s Opening Credits
Image
Spoiler Alert: This piece contains spoilers for Jordan Peele’s “Nope,” which is now playing in theaters.

Jordan Peele is flexing his world-building for “Nope.” On Sunday morning, the writer-director’s social media accounts shared the opening credits to “Gordy’s Home!,” the fictional chimpanzee-centric ’90s sitcom that starred a younger version of Steven Yeun’s “Nope” character.

Within the world of “Nope,” “Gordy’s Home!” stars Ricky “Jupe” Park, portrayed by Jacob Kim in flashbacks in the thriller. Yeun plays Jupe in the film’s main narrative, portraying the former child actor as a traumatized man who sees the world through a sense of showbiz gloss. At the start of “Nope,” Jupe heads a Western-themed amusement park located in the countryside outside of Los Angeles, mounting a sinister plot to put on a spectacle that will draw an audience to the outpost.

But back in the ’90s, Jupe was...

‘Nope’ Trailer: Jordan Peele’s Mystery Reveals Its Out-of-This-World Plot and a UFO Sighting
Image
It’s a true spectacle in the sky.

Jordan Peele’s third film “Nope,” following his Oscar-winning 2018 directorial debut “Get Out” and 2019’s “Us,” finally seemed to reveal its plot in the latest trailer. After haunting teasers and much debate over what exactly “Nope” means, the summary of the film has been unveiled ahead of its July 22 theatrical release.

Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as brother-sister duo James and Jill Haywood, who run Hollywood’s only Black-owned horse ranch. Their great-great-great-grandfather was also the man in the iconic image of a jockey on a horse that made history in a 19th-century study of how to make images “move,” marking the start of motion pictures. The Haywoods look to venture into filmmaking themselves after James (Kaluuya) spots “something above the clouds,” and the siblings set out to sell footage of a UFO. The only issue? The mysterious extraterrestrials are beaming...

Jordan Peele’s Final ‘Nope’ Trailer Reveals Its Mysterious Plot, Which Is All About [Spoilers]
Image
Universal Pictures released the final trailer for “Nope,” Jordan Peele’s third feature film. It teases much of the movie’s previously-unknown plot, in which Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya star as the duo behind a horse training ranch for Hollywood productions, who, thanks to the aliens hovering over their property, hatch a scheme to capture and sell the first authentic footage of UFOs. Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, Keith David, Donna Mills, Andrew Patrick Ralston and Michael Wincott are also in the film.

“Nope” follows Peele’s two previous blockbuster horror films: “Get Out” — which won the Oscar in 2018 for original screenplay and also starred Kaluuya — and “Us,” his 2019 film that popularized the term “tether,” in reference to the cast’s performances as ordinary and demonic versions of their characters. Peele has used the horror genre to comment on social issues, namely racism and xenophobia, and he is...
