[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Way Home Season 3 Episode 5 ” Reeling in the Years.”] Susanna (Watson Rose) marries who?! That’s the reaction at the end of the latest Way Home episode, when Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Jacob (Spencer MacPherson) travel back to the 1800s and see the end of her wedding — to Cyrus (Tim Post)! “Kat is horrified,” Leigh told TV Insider when she, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow recently stopped by TV Insider. (Watch the full video interview above.) “Kat does not understand why. But Susanna’s heart is always to protect the people that she loves. So she kind of took one for the team in that sense, where she wanted to make sure that Cyrus’s attention was kept on her by giving him the thing that he wanted the most so that she could, in a sense, sacrifice herself for the safety of Jacob.” But as we see, they’re...

When it comes to all-time great runs in Hollywood's history, there are a surprising number of directors to choose from. Most of these auteurs hail from the Hollywood Renaissance, a specific period between the mid-1960s and early 1980s when directors took back their rightful place at the top of the cinematic food chain after spending decades as little more than the studios' hired help. This was an era of filmmaking that gave us Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Michael Mann, and John Carpenter, to name but a few.
However, while many talented directors made their mark during that incredible era, yet none of those previously mentioned names wound up making this list of the greatest four consecutive film runs in Hollywood hisory! That's because, when taking all of Tinseltown's history into consideration, a few names in the present and even one from the distant past deserve recognition as well.

Director Sofia Coppola creates a fascinating, oftentimes surreal dreamscape with Priscilla in which moments from Priscilla Presley’s early life float in and fade away. Some of them are detailed, others brief. Collectively, these scenes are significant and paint a fascinating and compelling portrait of Presley’s life with Elvis from the intimate interior of her experiences. There’s Elvis the famous performer — King of Rock and all that flash. Then there’s Elvis the man. In the middle of it all is Priscilla Presley. Coppola, who also penned the screenplay, delivers a lush if not sobering biopic about a woman waiting to emerge into her full power.
By now, Priscilla has taken over the internet. Believe the buzz. Cailee Spaeny is mesmerizing as Priscilla Beaulieu, who meets Elvis Presley at the age of 14 and is soon swept into his glittery yet unpredictable world. Jacob Elordi is commanding as the King.

The upcoming film "Priscilla" focuses on Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, and is based on her memoir "Elvis and Me." Priscilla and Elvis were married for six years before they separated in 1972 and officially divorced in 1973. Priscilla Presley has had a successful acting career after her divorce from Elvis and is most known for her role in the TV series "Dallas."
Numerous biographical films depict the life of Elvis Presley, but Priscilla shifts its focus to his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley (née Beaulieu). The 2023 drama, which premieres in theaters everywhere on November 3, is based on Priscilla's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, and Priscilla herself was very involved in the making of the movie. So, it might be safe to assume that the film will be an as-close-as-possible depiction of Priscilla's life with the King of Rock and Roll. But her story was truly just beginning after she separated from Elvis.

Woo boy, here’s a new flick that’ll make the multiplex shake, rattle, and roll. Yes, it’s a brand-spankin’ new biopic centered around the king of rock and roll, the ruler of Graceland, the ….whoa, wait a minute! This is 2023, not 2022, Last Christmas we got a big-budget musical docudrama all about the man who was always “takin’ care of business” from Baz Luhrmann. Yes, and this is quite a different spin. For one thing, it’s from an indie studio with a more modest budget. There is a highly regarded director behind this, but rather than focusing on “E” or “the Colonel” it follows the path of the “Queen of the King”. As the title implies, this is the story of Priscilla.

An aspiring twenty-something writer with a couple of poems in The Paris Review, Joanna’s just landed a gig at a New York-based literary agency. Working on other people’s manuscripts may not grant immediate access to the fabulous life of a published author, but at least it’s a foot in the industry. Plus, tiny it may be, Joanna’s agency is one of New York’s oldest, and boasts a slate of illustrious clients, including a man who by the mid-1990s–around when Philippe Falardeau’s My Salinger Year takes place–was possibly America’s last surviving Cult Author: J.D. “Jerry” Salinger, famed for penning The Catcher in Rye in the early 1950s, and for fleeing public life shortly thereafter. Sure, Joanna has most certainly heard of the man’s name, but hasn’t read a single one of his works, nor does she seem too preoccupied with plugging the gap.

Fresh off his critically-acclaimed performance in Room, nine-year-old Jacob Tremblay teams up with Naomi Watts in the first trailer for the upcoming thriller Shut In. Horror fans who have been obsessed with Stranger Things as of late will also notice that Charlie Heaton, who played the mild-mannered Jonathan Byers on that Netflix series, also stars as the son of Naomi Watts' Mary, who has been left in a catatonic state after a tragic accident that claimed the life of her husband. This new trailer reveals that Mary's life is about to be turned upside down again after she takes in a young client.
The story is set in rural New England, where Naomi Watts' Mary balances her work as a child psychologist with taking care of her son, who can't move or speak since the accident. She takes in a troubled young boy as her foster son, who...

'Affliction' movie: Nick Nolte as the troubled police officer Wade Whitehouse. 'Affliction' movie: Great-looking psychological drama fails to coalesce Set in a snowy New Hampshire town, Affliction could have been an excellent depiction of a dysfunctional family's cycle of violence and how that is accentuated by rapid, destabilizing socioeconomic changes. Unfortunately, writer-director Paul Schrader's 1998 film doesn't quite reach such heights.* Based on a novel by Russell Banks (who also penned the equally snowy The Sweet Hereafter), Schrader's Affliction relies on a realistic wintry atmosphere (courtesy of cinematographer Paul Sarossy) to convey the deadness inside the story's protagonist, the middle-aged small-town sheriff Wade Whitehouse (Nick Nolte). The angst-ridden Wade is intent on not ending up like his abusive, alcoholic father, Glen (James Coburn), while inexorably sliding down that very path. Making matters more complicated, Wade must come to terms with the fact that his ex-wife, Lillian (Mary Beth Hurt), will never return to him,...
