- Data di nascita
- Stephen Norrington è celebre per aver partecipato a La leggenda degli uomini straordinari (2003), Nel fantastico mondo di Oz (1985) e Death Machine (1994).
- Extremely fast, action-driven openings; tightly synchronized with moving camera.
- Use of ambience to create an audio illusion representing despair or solitude.
- Gained some notoriety for being difficult to work with. David S. Goyer said that while making Blade (1998), Norrington began taunting him about how "tattoos aren't tough." Norrington then began flaunting his various piercings and deriding Goyer. During the making of La leggenda degli uomini straordinari (2003), some anonymous crew members claimed that Norrington had no idea what he wanted, and wasted hours setting up scenes differently, and filming scenes that would never make the movie. He also had regular verbal arguments with star Sean Connery, one of them nearly ending in a fist fight. Connery would later imply that Norrington belonged in an "asylum". As for his own perspective of things, one of the few comments Norrington made on the subject was that he does not like studio supervision and is "uncomfortable" with large crews.
- Vowed to never direct again after his reportedly horrible experience of making La leggenda degli uomini straordinari (2003), where he repeatedly clashed with Sean Connery. He later came back on that decision, but has not had a project realized as of 2018.
- Studied art and engineering in college.
- Is an exceptional sculptor and musician.
- Shortly after The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was made and released, Norrington retired from film directing altogether, due to having such a negative experience working on the movie.
