Peter is actress Helen Mirren's good luck charm in that he wrote The Queen - La regina (2006), for which she won her first Best Actress Oscar, and the play "The Audience" (2015), for which she won her first Tony Award.

[re Rush (2013)] I remember the terrible looks I used to get when I said I was working on a script about Tony Blair and the Queen after the death of [Princess] Diana, or about Richard Nixon and David Frost.
