Philip Locke(1928-2004)

Gaunt, sinister-looking British character actor, often in shrewd or eccentric roles, but equally at ease in light comedy. A familiar villain of British TV from the 1960's. Best-remembered on screen as the silent assassin Vargas in Agente 007 - Thunderball: operazione tuono (1965). Acclaimed on stage as Professor Moriarty in 'Sherlock Holmes' at the Aldwych Theatre in London (1974) and as Horatio in 'Hamlet' at the Old Vic (1975).
