Lucien Littlefield(1895-1960)

Character comedian of prolific output, who played mild-mannered or harassed little men, bucolic country types and doctors for almost half a century. His looks encouraged casting directors to hire him to play wizened old men. He trained at a military academy and made his stage debut at the age of 7, then starred in the Vitagraph comedy shorts "The Potters". Notable performances in Il castello degli spettri (1927) and I figli del deserto (1933) with Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
