Frederick Leister(1885-1970)

Distinguished-looking, bushy-browed British character actor, initially employed as a clerk at a solicitor's office and slated for a legal career. Instead, he appeared on stage from 1906 in musical comedies. His film career began well into his middle age. He was invariably cast as aristocrats, magistrates, clergymen, military officers and genteel professional men.
