- Was hiking in Death Valley National Park and collapsed due to heatstroke. His body was found by two other hikers in an area so remote that a helicopter had to be flown in to remove it. According to the coroner's office, he had likely died a few days before his body was found. An autopsy confirmed death by heatstroke.
