- He made guest appearances on all three of the longest running North American science fiction series: X-Files (1993), Stargate SG-1 (1997) and Smallville (2001).
- He was a Canadian voice, film, television and stage actor.
- Recipient of the 2012 Jessie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: Small Theatre for his dual role as Satan and St. Peter in the Pound of Flesh Theatre production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.
- Aside from having a major influence in the anime medium, Kopsa also had big roles in North American animation, including playing Beast, aka Hank McCoy, in X-Men: Evolution, taking on the role of Samukai in Lego Ninjago, and the Iron Man villain known as the Controller in Iron Man: Armored Adventures.
- Studied acting at New York's Circle in the Square Theater School for four years in the mid-1980s. He subsequently returned to Canada to attend the University of Toronto.
- Kopsa was known for his role as Char Aznable in the English dub of Mobile Suit Gundam and for his role as Commander Volcott O'Huey in Galaxy Angel.
