Appears in the Music Video 'Wat wil je Doen' by The Partysquad (ft. Willie Wartaal, Spacekees, Heist-Rockah, The Opposites & Art Officials). In the making of he is seen co-directing the music video, though officially the video was directed by Habbekrats

Directed the music video 'Slaap' by The Opposites in which he had actors Yahya Gaier and Tygo Gernandt perform as The Opposites. The music video also had Willie Wartaal in it. The Opposites themselves were seen as Che Guevara and Ghandi....

(2021) Koolhoven was frustrated about talent development in The Netherlands and started 'Koolhoven Presenteert' where 6 young filmmakers will make a 50 min genre-film for VPRO/NPO under his guidance.

(2018) Koolhoven was asked so often on TV show to talk about movies that the VPRO asked him to have his own TV Show where he talks about movies, showing scenes, giving context and anything he can think of.

(2019 - 2022) Wrote a Theatre Show which he performed in Dutch theaters in the period 2019-2022: 'Klassiekers met Koolhoven'

(2020) Programmer Ronald Simons teamed up again with Koolhoven to do monthly shows in Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam. They kept the concept of 'De Keuze van Koolhoven', but performed as a duo.

(2020) Koolhoven started to do his concept of talking about a theme or person for an hour before showing a movie into the rest of The Netherlands. Now called 'Koolhovens Keuze' he would perform this in a dozen cinema's in The Netherlands, four times a year. Each theatre would show a different main film, movies Koolhoven wanted to (re)watch himself.

(2019 - 2020) After 'Cinema Egzotik' Koolhoven did a monthly show 'De Keuze van Koolhoven' in Eye Filmmuseum) where he would talk for an hour and show pieces of film on a theme, a filmmaker or an actor, followed by a movie.

(2009) Between 2009 and 2019 Koolhoven had a monthly show in Amsterdam where he (together with programmer Ronald Simons) showed a double bill of two genre movies. It was called Cinema Egzotik and Ronald and Martin would introduce each a movie. First they did this in OT301 (the old Film Academy in Amsterdam), then in De Balie (where they could show the movies on 35mm and finally in the Eye Filmmuseum.

(2021 - 2022) Wrote and performed a theatre show about movies called: Klassiekers met Koolhoven', which ran for two seasons.

(2009-now) Has his own monthly show in Eye Film Museum where he shows two movies he introduces or one movie, which he introduces for an hour. Does this since 2009.

(2022- now) In 10-14 movie theaters Martin does a 3 monthly show where he talks for an hour about a certain subject and shows a movie after, which he watches himself as well (so everywhere he shows another movie)
