Raj Kiran was said to be found at and asylum in Atlanta in 2011 by actor Rishi Kapoor who had met his brother in US,later him daughter released a statement saying he is still missing he was there in asylum for sometime but his currently missing form there for years.

Many actors from Hindi film industry provided support to Raj Kiran after hearing the news of he being in asylum in Atlanta and decided to get him back to the country and provide him work in films.

In mid 80s Raj Kiran and Shoma Anand played husband and wife in many family oriented films where their character would be the reason to break a joint family.

Has been away from India since the early 2000's. His family have kept his where abouts an secret from Bollywood.

Former wife Roopa is now remarried and known as Roopa Mashruwala.
