Led now by a more purposeful vision, Steve began investing his time and talents in humanitarian causes, especially those concerned with the poor in America. In line with this, and through his membership at Bel-Air Presbyterian Church, he became a consultant and co-Executive Producer for Mendenhall (Mississippi) Ministries' outreach video, explaining their ministry and mission for the poor, community development, and social justice to potential donors. Despite these "media activities," Steve insists that the best thing he did while there was listening to and encouraging poor people -- especially youth and families -- in order to help them overcome poverty.
He later enrolled as a student at Reformed Theological Seminary in Clinton, Mississippi. Since then he has done a number of humanitarian and Christian mission projects, including continued consulting for Mendenhall Ministries, for Community Church of Joy (Phoenix), for Scottsdale (Arizona) Bible Church, for Gateway Inner City Church (Phoenix), and, most recently, produced Neighborhood Ministries' 25th Anniversary Video Documentary, <a href="http://vimeo.com/2539543">"Transformed People."</a>
