Universal war wages between two prehistoric alien races. One of the races is the heroic Kherubim while the other is the evil Daemonites.

Caitlin Fairchild is a teenager who is offered a place in an institute for gifted children. She soon learns that the school isn't really a school, but rather a military project to turn children with a special genetic structure into super soldiers. After developing incredibly enhanced abilities, Caitlin rebels against the program that created her, but all is not what it appears; there are some in the military who want to help her, and a deadly enemy is actually a long lost sibling.

Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams is based on the comic book heroes by Jim Lee. The players take control of three superheroes, Spartan, Maul and Warblade, as they travel through each level, fighting numerous mutants and robots to force a final showdown with the main antagonist, Helspont, who is bent on world destruction. The gameplay is a basic side-scroller, using punches, kicks, and the heroes special powers to defeat enemies. Players can also combine their heroes to create more powerful moves.

In Europe, the country of Yurgovia attacks their neighbor, Lucitain, with an earthquake weapon. Since the C.A.T.S.'s headquarters is located in Lucitain, the team must stop the conflict.

In this adventure inspired by motion comics, three villainous raiders find Lusitania and try to crack a safe that contains the mythical Perseus' treasure. To kill time, they discuss the last time each of them had to deal with Lara Croft.

Rookie Reno Bryce joins WildC.A.T.s. The team agrees to call him Warblade.

The Wild C.A.T.S. leader Spartan, a man turned robot, faces a woman from his past when the Troika attacks the research facility where she works.

The villains possess the US President to get access to US satellites and locate the Orb they need to win. .

The Deamonites use the absence of Warblade, who's entered a martial tournament in Japan, to secretly infiltrate the C.A.T.S.'s unguarded base and take everyone out.

The Daemonites need NASA's anti-gravity device to begin their endgame.

Whoever gets to the Orb first, wins.

The team's old leader awakens from cryosleep, when the space pod he was hibernating in crashes after spending several eons in space, and wants his team back.

Grifter's brother Max, traps WildC.A.T.S in Fort Knox.

While on a mission in the Arizona desert, Maul reveals his past.

After a break in, the team decides to hire a security expert called Lonely, who was trained by Grifter.
