I started out thinking this was going to just be a teen romance series, but it soon turned into a hunt for treasures also.. the story kept moving right along both seasons .. Not at all impressed with the actor who played Ward, everything felt fake when he was on screen.. BUT.. the two actors who played JJ and Rafe gave Academy Award winning performances in their roles.. they both blew me away every time they were on screen!

Looking forward to season 3.

I always look forward to new versions of Persuasion, but this one is a 100% disappointment.. The whole approach to the making of this movie is wrong.. the personality and attitude of Anne grates from the minute she starts talking to the camera.. the actor playing Wentworth is totally miscast.. his personality and acting leave us totally disconnected from him in his role... (to say nothing of the pink and orange lipstick being so distracting).

Dakota I think does as good a job as she can with her role, but her whole personality is not insync with what most of us feel Anne's personality would have been, unassuming and quiet. Didn't work for me at all.

To me the highlight of this movie was Mia Mckenna-Bruce in her role as Mary.. she portrayed the whiny personality of Mary to perfection..!

If you want to see excellent versions of this movie, check out the 1995 Ciar'an Hinds or the 2007 version with Rupert Penry Jones.. both excellent films.

I enjoyed this movie from the first few minutes of viewing.. it was not the same old plot we see in so many T. V. movies... enjoyed all the actors in their roles... especially Victor Zinck jr.. his portrayal of a Veteran dealing with PTSD was some of the best acting I have seen anywhere in YEARS! .. and actually the chemistry between he and Sarah was amazing.. This is one you're not going to want to miss!!
