I had heard good things about this documentary prior to watching, and found the overall content of it informative and eye-opening. I didn't love the AI narrator, but I appreciate the point its presence in the film makes.
"Buy Now!" is a bit different from other documentaries promoting anti-consumption views in that instead of focusing on the mental impact overconsumption has, it focuses on the environmental impacts that are so often obscured from sight. Yes, the immediate impacts on the consumer are bad too, but everyone shares the same planet, which makes the cumulative damage of overconsumption even more sinister. Add to that that these corporations *deliberately* avoid eco-friendly practices and metrics... and you get today.
I recommend for people just beginning to get into the topic of anti-consumption. If you have some understanding of it, this might be a boring watch.

I liked this show well enough! I thought that the majority of the contestants were lovely, and each had a pretty cool style. I guess I had been expecting more construction and fabrication of decor to be involved?
This is a cute little series, great for background noise or low-energy entertainment, but I often got distracted from watching by my phone. I think some of the reactions to different rooms were opposite of what I expected, but overall the conduct and sportsmanship of the cast were great and added to the series' quality in my opinion. If future seasons ever release, I think adding some educational bits about different design concepts/color theory/etc. Would pair nicely with challenges, too. :)
