I watched the series to see if I could get immersed in what it was like to be there in that time.

Unfortunately I found so many flaws in the stories, why couldn't they just stick with what is told in the bible? Why change it?

The music, oh my! Why do we need modern music in a period piece! The intro is horrible every time I hear it and is so irrelevant to the story.

The dialogue and language is ridiculous, so many words and phrases are out of place that would never have been heard at that time. The humor in Jesus I doubt very much as well.

Also the way women argue and tell the men off would never have happened in those days, everyone especially women were respectful.

I found the first season very slow and boring. It's more of a show you watch in the background waiting for something interesting to happen.

Wow this movie was so bad. As an Italian I'm so disappointed, why couldn't they get an Italian lead at least who could pronounce Nonna!! There were so many mistakes in pronunciation, it was embarrassing.

Those old ladies were irritating at best! Wasting food by throwing it at each other, acting like children. Who would even pay to eat random old ladies food that's not a professional cook anyway?

This movie was too slow, it almost put me to sleep a few times.

Also the lighting was shocking, very dark, lots of dim almost foggy scenes.

I just couldn't get into this film unfortunately.
