The Dimension of the Future - 8.5 "If you want to get rich, create your own religion." A crazy Russian science fiction and action film, a really cool journey between the world of coma, dreams, the threshold of life and death... Criticism of religious fanaticism, the enrichment of its leaders and mainly the brainwashing done by some of them. The beautiful, dystopian, crooked graphics are very reminiscent of "Dr. Strange", in those movements of the city, in the parallel world. I have to rewatch "The Matrix" to make an analogy, it's a shame it was a box office failure, because it's pretty insane, and adorably bizarre... #Loved
After a colossal and mysterious accident, a young and talented architect recovers his reason in a very strange world that only resembles reality. This world is based on the memories of those who live in it - people who are in a deep coma. Human memory is irregular, chaotic and unstable. The same is true of COMA - a strange collection of memories and memorabilia - cities, glaciers and rivers can be found in a single room. All the laws of physics can be broken. The architect must discover the exact laws and regulations of COMA while fighting for his life, finding the love of his life and continuing to search for the exit to the real world, which he will have to get used to.

It's not all bad, but it's weak, the script is simplistic, the effects leave a lot to be desired, the acting is modest, but here's the explanation I found online: Produced in 2010 in Bulgaria, but as a parody of the 80s (now I understand the soundtrack is completely irrelevant, heavy rock in scenes that have nothing to do with anything), "each scene in the film is full of bizarre choices and technical deficiencies" and edited and reworked 5 years after the director's death, now everything seems to make more sense, and I can watch it with more forgiving eyes... There's nothing like knowing the context of the work to better understand it...

An American action and police thriller film and a remake of the 1972 blaxploitation film, it doesn't offer much new, a good soundtrack, lots of gunfire, violence, rival gangs, excess testosterone, drugs, sex and nudity. The attraction (perhaps the only one) is the betrayal of the protagonist (antagonist disguised as a kind gentleman), which gains an interesting breath in its final third, regular, attractive, but conventional...
