Jurassic Park holds a special place in my heart. Every time I watch a new movie from the franchise, I feel that same nostalgia and excitement I felt when I first saw the original as a kid. That's why I go into these films already inclined to like them. I mention this because, objectively speaking, it might deserve a point or two less.

Let me start with the good: I think the setting and the special effects for the dinosaurs are excellent. I also have to mention the soundtrack, which, when that iconic theme plays, is truly moving. But unfortunately, there aren't many other positives beyond that.

The acting is acceptable, and while the overall plot provides a coherent excuse for the movie to unfold, I think it includes unnecessary characters-like this family that shows up-and it really lacks more people being eaten by dinosaurs. In a two-hour dinosaur movie, that happens far too rarely.

What I honestly found awful, is something that completely breaks with the spirit of the saga: these mutant dinosaurs that feel like they're from a different film altogether-something more like Godzilla or Alien. I really didn't like that at all.

The series starts strong and gradually declines. The first season is quite good - it presents a very interesting new concept. I believe that's what created the initial impact and gave it its popularity.

The acting is honestly weak, if not outright bad, but as I mentioned, the novelty factor manages to keep the viewer entertained.

The following seasons continue with the poor performances and lose the freshness of the original idea. I think that's why the show starts to feel like it's going downhill. The novelty wears off, the plot isn't particularly engaging beyond the world it introduces, and it ends up exhausting the viewer.

In fact, some of the situations in the later seasons feel so forced they come off as downright bizarre. I didn't like the ending.

I like the concept-I enjoy these kinds of series set in post-apocalyptic worlds or with a touch of science fiction. But in this case, I think the show stays only at the level of a good idea and ends up failing in almost everything else.

Like any series, the main story has subplots meant to capture our attention. The problem here is that all the subplots that unfold are truly annoying, boring, and uninteresting. Then there's the issue of acting and writing, which comes across as quite superficial and weak.

I had hope that the second season would improve and develop the overall story much better. And while there is some plot progression, at times it feels more like a poorly made family drama than a science fiction or apocalyptic.
