This is the only Wes Anderson film that I've seen at the cinema where people have walked out. I am a fan but recently the stilted conversation between the characters and the silliness has become a bit tedious.

The production and the visuals are always beautiful and precise, but even that is getting a bit repetitive.

There are some great performances, Michael Cera it was fantastic and Benicio Del Toro was also great. Unfortunately, the story was lacking.

For all the great actors that Wes Anderson attracts and the small cameos they are happy to do is fun to see who you can recognise but that's it. Not his finest.

This mesmerising mammoth of a film was a treat for the eyes starting from the opening credits which were so stylish and intriguing.

The acting, cinematography, costume design and score were wonderful. Adrien Brody deserves every award there is for his performance. And Guy Pearce hasn't been better. Daniel Bloomberg's score is haunting and beautiful.

The first half before the intermission (unnecessary IMO) was the most enjoyable and memorable.

There were certain storylines which could have been edited without losing anything from the plot, and avoided the necessity of the intermission.

Definitely a classic.

The Empress is a fabulous series about the Hapsburg dynasty of Austria in the late 1800's.

Elizabeth or Sissi, is a woman ahead of her time and struggles to fit in to the structures of Royal life, even with a husband she loves. This was unusual for the time when marriages were inevitably politically motivated.

This is not to be compared with Bridgerton, which is definitely a fiction. This series is very much based on fact with some storylines added for dramatic effect. This wasn't necessary in my opinion as the true story is so interesting and dramatic.

The production and costumes are exquisite. Every scene immaculate. Looking forward to another season.
