Explanation of my review title: parts of it are very sad and disturbing and I was not prepared for some of the themes in this movie.

I've watched so many thrillers and horror movies in my time, and this movie had me invested from the very beginning. No jump scares, just pure psychological horror is how I would describe it. It's not a movie I would watch again just to watch, but that's because of how sad and depressed it made me feel. If you're looking for in your face horror or jump scares, then you might not like it. But if you're looking for a really good movie that actually makes you think about how the world is today, then you'll like it. I definitely recommend this movie. You won't be disappointed.

I tried watching this show when I found out my 16 year old daughter was on season 5. I figured if she made it that far it was good, and I've been told by friends in the past that I should watch it. I'm made it to season 2 episode 3 or 4 maybe? Lorelai is a terrible and very annoying person. Her parents are made out to be the villains, but in my eyes they're the heroes because they made it through 16 years with her under their roof. She's basically a 32 year old woman who never actually matured past age 15...not in how she acts, talks, or dresses. Why so many men are interested in her I'll never know. Nobody on the show talks like a real person and it's full of not funny and overdone stereotypes. There's so many references to the late 90s and early 2000s era and unless you know about that topic you don't get the "jokes". I was born in 1985 so I should know some but they're such obscure references they fall flat.

And I just can't explain how annoying and obnoxious and judgemental Lorelei is. And the girl who plays Rory needs to learn to move her lips when she talks. I feel bad that Melissa McCarthy is in this because she has way more talent than anyone on that show but it's wasted here. I really tried to like this show but I hate everything about it.
