The movie couldve been really good but the 1st and major issue is its dark, like pitch dark. I have no idea why filmmakers continue to use this annoying tactic. Its creepier if you can see the stuff not just lightly outlined shapes in dim lighting. Seems like every cheap basic horror trick was used for the movie instead of really digging into this occult practice which is both fascinating and very frightening. I saw it because i had very dark experiences with this type of religion due to an ex i dated. I know its real and i also know the power of suggestion. I feel like all they tried doing is throw a bunch of latina girl boss empowerment at the spooky religion and called it a day. Its too bad they wasted a great opportunity.

I have had the misfortune of reading some of the 1 stars and i end up reading them in a snarky dork voice. I get home tired from working all day and sometimes i just want to unwind and watch action cartoons w cool characters, well thats what i got when i watched this movie. The people giving terrible reviews seem like they are hardcore Marvel fanboys with too much time on their hands. Noone can seriously be so let down or upset about an entertaining cartoon movie just to write a long review bashing it about everything, but here we are.

Like the title i wrote says, just enjoy the cartoon. Noone takes your bad reviews seriously and all youre doing is wasting your pathetic time.

Ill start by saying i like the lead actress in Reno 911 and all the other comedic roles. Just gonna be honest and say that shes out of her league here. Some scenes she can nail while others seem so forced and overacted. Its a shame cuz the show is good and entertaining. I am very invested in finding out who the serial killer is and every single death scene looks like he is creating a work of art, reminiscent of Hannibal show with Mads Mikkelson.

Some scenes seem a bit corny like when her daughter tells her to stop drinking and she tells her daughter to stop eating then the mom drinks and daughter eats, that scene annoyed me and felt so unnecessary. Of course ive taken into account that she is a deeply flawed heroine but its just seems so contrived. Im on episode 3 and im really hoping the acting and writing gets better. The death art is enough to keep me watching so if youre a big Hannibal or 7even fan, youll enjoy and appreciate the creativity behind it.
