Despite the small budget, this movie had everything it needed to be a great indie horror movie but for some reason it failed. The actors were decent, it was set in a great location, and a man changing into a monster is always a good idea for a horror story. We just didn't go anywhere and it's not clear why we don't. The husband starts to change as the couple starts their "let's rekindle the love" vacation but the wife seems oblivious to these changes until it's too late. And by too late ... I mean the movie is almost over and we really have no idea how we got to the end. I really wanted to like this movie but walked away bored and kinda angry (I can't get the minutes I wasted hoping in vain that the movie would get better). If you finish a movie and the only thing anyone can say is, "That's it? Are you serious?" then you can safely say the director missed the mark.

I really enjoyed this movie and, of course, the title fit perfectly with the dynamics displayed between the involved families. I winced a lot and said WTF too many times to count (shouting at the screen was also part of this movie experience). And I'm sure most Americans (can't speak for other nationalities) had to silence their incredulity gene to really enjoy the movie because we (as a people) are generally very reactionary when faced with a problem. The point of the movie is about the ways in which the Danish couple communicated (or failed to communicate) and it was meant to upset the audience.
