Enjoyable but not brilliant. I'm not sure it was necessary to add in music that really really does nothing at all for the story, or the movie, or the mood, or any of that. It was very distracting and annoying.

It's been so long since I have seen the original movie, let alone read the book, I'm not sure how it compares, but now I am going to go back to watch it and read it; however I'm certain that the originals will far superior to this one.

But again, my main complaint is the music. I found that liberal use of the mute button was gratefully helpful in dealing with the musical interludes.

That was my main concern, not recommending it not saying it shouldn't be watched.

This is such a deep, exciting, and multifaceted story in world history that it should have been much longer, perhaps even an extended mini-series. But that said, hopefully this might encourage some to read the book of the same name.

I disagree with the reviewer who said it was boring, I found it enjoyable and engaging and the characters as well as the actors who are playing them were all very good. Highly recommended and cannot wait until they bring out more seasons.
