There's no 'there' there, to borrow an infamous phrase.

The people who most need accountability thrown at them are nowhere to be seen- no parents, just children, being corralled and used by the ringleader, and exploited by the 'chronically online' Grandma Lorenz; if anyone has experience concerning scrubbing information from the internet, well, it would definitely be her.

The concept is a good one- showing people (especially parents) the dangers, both mentally and physically, of becoming an online personality, or 'influencer', is desperately needed, but for inexplicable reasons, one that even the best empirical evidence fails to make even minimal impressions on these people and their children. Had this been done better, more responsibly, I think it's worth telling, but this series seems intent on glorifying in the most bizarre ways. What seems to be a message of 'this is bad!' But with a sideways 'wink wink' towards anyone considering this 'career'.

There's scant few details that elaborate without extreme bias that's barely cloaked behind the advice, and I'd caution anyone watching with their children without a heavy dose of skepticism and suspicion. Coupled with copious amounts of independent research that can be used to make better and informed decisions.

That Molly, Tom and their horrible excuse for an attorney were allowed to point blank LIE regarding Mags is so appalling and quite honestly, grotesque.

The prosecution for this debacle couldn't have been more incompetent- they didn't even bother to call Mags' family in Ireland to testify! After presenting such an horrific case the first time, he caved completely and gave these two monsters an ridiculous plea deal for next to no time after what can only be described as the most grisly, gruesome annihilation of an human being most have witnessed.

And then you have these two adorable children, through no fault of their own, are now smack in the middle of a child's worst nightmare- no parents remaining, having experienced and witnessed this hideous tragedy, and then having to struggle through being forced to endure living with people to whom they had no blood relation and all this after their father had so thoughtfully designated appropriate caregivers for them in the chance something awful befell him. Little could he have imagined the worst imaginable would pale in comparison to the actuality.

There's far too much air given to these monsters, and not nearly as much time spent delving into what horrible creatures this entire family is, and how manipulated the victim was and how poorly Molly treated him and his children.

I very much appreciate and look forward to anything Dr Drew lends a perspective to; as a psychologist of over two decades, I think our style and opinions have always been of the same level and space.

I've never felt the need to immerse myself in the insanity and ridiculous campiness of these incredibly scripted, forcefully dramatic and obnoxious narcissistic caricatures of these people or their lives, but I can see where some of society would find a sort of 'train wreck curiosity' that seems more glamorous or interesting than their own.

I wish we weren't as dumbed down as a society as we are, but as long as the shows draw people, these narcissists will be around. Let's face it, anyone involved in Hollywood and DC are narcissistic, on higher than an average level. That need to be center focus, top billing and 'LOOK AT ME!!!!' can very much be a positive if used in proper ways, but in shows such as these, this isn't exactly intellectualism on display.

So giving this a 6 rating is more for the analytical aspects- of course Dr Drew Pinsky, but just to peer inside some of these people's heads and what makes them believe this is of any type of value and their chemical properties is like watching dogs when no people are around, only to discover the dogs are walking around upright and do actually enjoy a good game of poker.
