The Brutalist.
When a visionary architect and his wife flee post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern United States, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious, wealthy client.
I finally got the chance to watch The brutalist in theatres, a +3 hours long journey that passed smoothly, I was very invested in the world created by Corbet, it was fascinating, every frame is beautiful to look at and the pacing was good which really helped.
It is a story that's worth telling of course, as I said I was fully invested especially through the first act, watching Adrien Brody on the big screen is a real something, the movie got darker through its end and sometimes shocking and confusing and I really appreciate it.
However, I had this feeling of "Biography" throughout the movie, it felt like one sometimes and this can show how real it felt but at the same time, you think and say that we may have actuall events that worth telling even more than this because by the end of it I felt that something was missing even though I consider it as one of the best movies of the year undoubtedly.
The performances were amazing especially the main three, Directing was even more impressive, now I want to see more of Corbet's work.

Gladiator II.
After his home is conquered by the tyrannical emperors who now lead Rome, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum and must look to his past to find strength to return the glory of Rome to its people.
Having the chance to watch Gladiator (2000) in theatre days befor the preview of Gladiator II has to be one the best movies experiences I've ever had, if not the best!
I was stunned by the scale of the movie since the early beginning and throughout the whole movie, knowing that it didn't really take much time to film it... They managed to build Rome in a wonderful way, I was fully invested following the story of Lucius the prince of Rome.
I don't really care much about the historical accuracy, if someone can make such a large-scale movie, I don't mind and Ridley Scott is known for not being so accurate but also known for being so effective and one of the best active directors in Hollywood.
The story of Lucius was good, I don't think it could be any better. However, dramatically it wasn't that powerful, probably, because of the pace, it was a very highly paced movie and again effective.
What I loved the most is the characters, the cast did a wonderful job, especially Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and the man himself Denzel Washington.
The twin emperors were crazy enough and we had some funny moments with them...
Gladiator II is by far not a flawless movie, but it had everything a Gladiator fan would need to see after so much time.
Sharks in the Colosseum! Ridley Scott is crazy.

Princess Mononoke.
On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.
Watching such a cute story and adventures in this wonderful style of Ghibli's is always an amazing experience, I enjoyed this movie quite a lot as I really loved the colors and the creatures in it...
I think this animation goes right on my top 3 animated movies of all time for the moment, I'm glad I finally did watch it when there are still so many Miyazaki movies to watch in this magnificent style that is unbeaten to this day, there's no better animation style than Ghibli's, this is my statement and I believe it is hard to convince me otherwise.
