Not him personally. But as The gray haired, flared eyebrow'd imp he's made up like a pantomime elf. He looks ridiculous. Not in an 'other worldly way' but in a "high-school-low-budget' production way. I've seen more menacing cats! He wouldn't be amiss in an episode of Blackadder.

Eddie Marsan/Bertie Carvel as Norrel and Strange play the roles to an absolute tee. The conflict between the two is simmering nicely. Their performances, and those of the rest of the cast, are not enough to stop a dispirited sigh whenever 'The Gentleman' appears.

I want to love this production and I will watch it to the end.
