Delta blues is such an important part of American culture. It is truly unique. Here at the very end of that age, as the very last of the great migration musicians pass on, we get a last "hurrah." In recognition of the fact that their era, of jim crow and music and revolution, will be legend and memory rather than lived history, we get this great genre mashup story with a lot of heart and a lot to say.

This film may be in theaters still for another week or so depending on the theater, everyone should go see it. This film was fun, it was pretty, it was fast paced, it has good dialogue, it draws the audience into the story instead of overexplaining every little detail or reference. This is the kind of movie you really could watch a few times and get something new out of it.
