The movie is a visual delight and I highly recommend it, the fight scenes are amazing and the way they created the infinite castle make you feel you are inside it with the characters.

However the film suffer from being a very true to the manga adaptation and at some points the numerous flashbacks, though interesting, really broke the pace of the movie for me, particularly in the last hour. I think some people were really moved by the last backstory but for me I started to watch the time and felt it was the same for several people in the theater especially kids. Especially at some point the pattern in those flashbacks get predictable.

It is a great movie but I feel the final battle in season 2 and 3 of the anime were better paced and consequently though it is a visual masterpiece I don't think I would feel like to watch it again because of the last hour.

I was worried because of the not so good review and box office performance. However the movie turned out quite good, it is more a horror movie than super hero movie, and it can be quite suspenseful. The conclusion is also not what I expected but I was happy with it. Hope there will be a sequel though I am not sure how they would manage it.

This was really a good thrill. The movie does have its shortcoming but it is very well done overall, with some new scares and visuals. I wish there could be more movie from Alexandre Aja...
