Don't get me wrong. I found the film funny at times, even when it was supposed to be serious.

Robin Williams was brilliant though. A talented man who is sadly missed.

Unfortunately the majority of actors reminded me of youngsters straight out of University.

Oh that's right the new young things know everything about life. Sorry , my mistake.

Christopher Walkden was probably the oldest guy made up to look cool with his dyed hair.

Maybe a couple of others nudged 40 or thereabouts.

The cutesy romance between Eleanor and Dobbs was really a bit lame.

Geoff Goldblum looked his most sinister as usual. Bad guys always look sinister remember.

Silly stuff .

Tried to get through it but gave up after one episode. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Having not read the book I couldn't know if it was accurate. Hope the book was better. Rubbish film.

I don't know why so many people are so negative about this film. I thought it was entertaining in a weird way, but then that's what made it fun to watch. Does anybody in their right mind truly think all that happened was possible? It's a movie for heavens sakes. I do believe though that many elderly people if they're not careful, are exploited by " caring" individuals, especially if they're well off. Being in my dotage, I can attest that that fact. A shout goes out to the actress who played Mala, she was brilliant.
