I wrote a similar review for Pinocchio where the vast majority of the accents were from the United Kingdom. It makes zero sense to me to use an accent other than Italian, for Italian characters! Even worse with this than Pinocchio as Leonardo Da Vinci was a real person. But no we have to listen to an insufferable English actor play in this role. This actually confuses young people and instead of allowing them to hear and adapt to the English language spoken with an Italian accent, we xo Otis to perpetuate the idea that accents are difficult to understand. It needs to stop and I can't watch this bc the accent will annoy me far too much.

I laughed and cried all the way through this movie as my 80's child heart healed and my midlife heart felt reassured that how I have felt through all these years is has been seen. Greta Gerwig is a genius and I'm sorry for all those who thought this was going to be some plastic-fantastic fun ride and were stuck with the deep existentialism and down with the patriarchy messaging - but this was a masterpiece! My only hope is this movie becomes part of the school curriculum and is studied for years to come. Bravo - you are changing the world Greta! And Margo, Ryan and the cast were absolute perfection!!! 10/10 all day every day!

Absolute brilliance by Wanda using her incredible story telling, her tearing down of the recent political madness of the past few years packing every punchline with a huge laugh. Wanda absolutely sets the bar, every single time and all comedians need to take her lead. She brought absolute soul-crushing moments in this comedy special and then just as quickly picks you up with a laugh while your heart is still breaking. Thank you Wanda, you speak from the depths of your soul and we are so grateful for you and you bringing light in the darkness. I'll be arching this one over and over and laughing every time.
